DRUM Cracked after 3years

We own a suite of LG appliances from the kitchen laundry TVs even a vacuum and generally have good luck with them. However our LG Dryer DLEX4200W Drum has cracked at the seem. This is causing a thumping noise at the bottom where the seem passed by the bottom roller. Ive read if lint enters this opening into the interior of the dyer unit it can cause a fire. This is practically a new appliance. I spoke with their chatbot customer support and have gotten nowhere. I requested a new drum to install myself but they said a technician needs to come out inspect the unit request the part and install the part. All of which will cost more than a new dryer? This is beyond frustrating and LG will lose a very loyal customer if this is how they treat everyone. I am currently waiting on a call from customer support to further speak about this. I will update this when I hear back.

Bad Customer Service

I had a very bad experience for the repair service. LG assigned a service provider but no one called me to make an appointment. I called them more than 5 times and it went to recording directly every time I left messages but no one called me back. I also called LG customer services more than 3 times and the problem still not solved. SO finally I cancelled the repair service and want to buy a new one online. And the live chat agent gave me a coupon but it is invalid when I using it to buy a new one. Then I called customer service again. They transferred me 3 times and said will call me later. Still no one called. Please dont choose LG if you cant bear this kind of bad service.

I have had my washing machine for a year now. I purchased from Home Deopt. My clothes are always clean as can be. I use good product and my clothes always come out smelling and looking great. I have not had a single issue with this machine. All of the inside of my machine including seals etc are all perfect. I can load lots of laundry at a time and it still gets everything clean and looking fresh. My favorite is the steam mode and the antibacterial mode for the gross laundry.

This is a new machine. A very small load of clothing ex.- 6 white tee shirts comes out more than 80 dry. The repair man confirmed this. I would like to exchange it for another model. My brand new house deserves better. Also the lint trap broke a long time ago. Where is the replacement I asked for?

Perfect Dryer - except

Love the dryer. Great features. It is actually the cleanest dryer we have ever owned - as in the amount of dryer lint that escapes out of the dryer into the room. We dont use all the features - do like the option for steam refresh and steam sanitize drying. Mostly use time dry and manually set the temperature. One tip for LG. When you design laundry equipment with a drum light - when the cycle is over and you open the door the drum light should come on automatically and it should not time out after a couple of minutes. The user should have more control over the drum. At least be able to manually activate a door plunger to turn the light back on. Not on the LG machines washer or dryer. It is an annoyance.

I bought this dryer in early December to replace a 16 year old LG dryer which developed a problem and parts were no longer available to fix it. This unit has a larger capacity which I enjoy. Definitely would recommend to friends and family. Old washer 5 years old started leaking water from tub definitely had no guts took forever for a load to get done. New LG washer wow it does a load in no time lets me know on my watch/or phone when done. Towels jeans robes all have come out smelling and looking clean. Hope this machine lasts longer than previous.super happy so far.

Excellent Best Washer and Dryer Set

Weve had an older model at our old house and sold it with the house. We got used washer and dryer set that lasted about a year when we had smelled something burning. I knew it was time to replace our washer and dryer set with something new with warranty coverage. LG has great washer and dryers. The quality is top notch and had features like WiFi enabled that I didnt know about which later came in handy when Im upstairs and didnt know the load was finished and ready to be swapped out. I can also tell a huge improvement overall in terms of our clothes smelling much better. Highly recommend this set of washer and dryer from LG
